Puri Jagannath

Puri Jagannath was born on 28^th of September 1966 at Kotthapalli Village in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh.

As a debutant Puri Jagannath started his carrier with Badri, starring Pawan Kalyan, Renu Desai, Prakash Raj, Amisha Patel in the lead roles.

Then, after a long time, he started his own production house “Vaishno Academy”. His production were behind the hit films such as Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Shivamani and Pokiri (one of the biggest hit of all times).

The film Chirutha with Ram Charan Tej as debutant who is the son of Tollywood Megastar, Chiranjeevi made him to reach new heights.

• He won Nandi Award in 2008 as Best Dailougues for the movie Neninthe.
• Won Filmfare Award in 2006 as Best Director for Pokiri.
• Won Santosham Film Award in 2006 as Best Director for Pokiri.
• Won Vamsee International Film Award in 2005 as Best Director for Pokiri.
• Won Cine MAA Award in 2003 as Best Story Writer for Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi.
• Nandi Award in 2003 as Best Dailougue for Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi.
• Nandi Award in 2003 as Best Feature Film – Bronze for Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi.
• Cine MAA Award in 2002 as Best Screenplay Writer for Idiot.
• Nandi Award in 2001 as Best Story Writer for the movie Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam.
