He is not just an accomplished as a musician but also a singer and lyricist. He is a well known music director in South Indian Film Industry .His contributions in Industry have been enormous that the list is infinite .
Devi Sri Prasad was born on 2nd August 1982nin Vedurupaka a small village in East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh . He later moved to Chennai along with his father and famous writer Satyanand. His sister’s name is Padmini Priya Sagar and his brother’s name is Vidya Sagar who is a singer. He completed his Schooling in Sir M. Venkata Subba Rao Boys High School, T.Nagar, Chennai. He studied up to BBA and learnt Mandolin under the guidance of U.Srinivas, famous mandolin player for 10 years.
Career as a Musician
Devi Sri Prasad started his career as a musician with his debut album “Dance Party”. His debut movie in tollywood as music director is ‘DEVI’ in 1999.This was a big success. He got into lime light with his next movie ‘Anandam’ which earned him accolades. The songs of the movie ‘ Anandam ‘ created a huge space in industry for his efforts . Then he later bagged in composing music for ‘ Varasham ‘ . His music in the movie Varsham made gain huge popularity and he is one of the top music directors in Tollywood and not to forget Arya movie was a major breakthrough in his cine career.
Some of his hits are Shankar Dada MBBS, Bommarillu, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Pournamai, Gabbar Singh, Julai etc., Damarukam was his 50th film as a composer. His soundtracks have been dubbed or remade in several other languages as well. He also composed a song for Telugu Cinema Vajrosavalu.
He released his private album Mr.Devi in 2009. All the eight songs were penned by himself.He has also composed the background score for films like Badri, Dasavatharam etc.

In 2004 he won Filmfare & Santosham as Best Music Director in Telugu “Varsham”.
In 2005 he won Filmfare & Santosham Best Music Director in Telugu”Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana”.
In 2006 he won Filmfare Best Music Director In Teligu”Bommarillu” and Santosham Best Music Director Award ”Jalsa”.
He has contributed for Devi , Anandam , Kalusukovalini , Totti gang , Manmadhudu , Bommarilu , Julayi , Damarukam , Alex , Mirchi and many more .
Presently he upcoming movies are Iddarammayilatho, Yevadu, Singam 2, Bhai and Sukumar’s Untitled Project. Iddarammayilatho is releasing on 24th may 2013, So all the best to him for his career.
