Akkineni Nageswar Rao To Celebrate His Birthday At N Convention Centre.

One of the legendary actors of Tollywood and the Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee  Akkineni Nageswara Rao is celebrating his 89th birthday on 20^th September 2013. He decided to celebrate this birthday on grand scale. A grand birthday party is being arranged by him and nearly 200 guests were being invited for this occasion. A special invitation card is being sent to the guests. It is expected to be a private event.  The arrangements for this event are being made at N Convention Centre. He is still active and enjoying his life.  At this age he is acting in the upcoming movie “Manam” directed by Vikram Kumar and the three generation actors of Akkineni Family (Akkineni Nageswar Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya) will be seen together in this Film.

Honours for Akkineneni Nageshwara Rao:-

Nageshwara Rao was honoured with Padmasri in the year 1963 by Govt. of India.

Akkineni was conferred with Kalaprapoorna by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam in the year 1977.

ANR was conferred with honorary doctorate by Andhra University, Visakhapatam in the year 1977.

Nageshwara Rao was honoured with Padmabhushan in the year 1983 by Govt. of India.

ANR is the recipient of Raghupathi Venkaiah award from Govt. of A.P. for the year 1989

He is the Recipient of the prestigious Dadasaheb Palke award for the year 1991.

ANR was awarded the N T R National award by Govt. of A.P. for the year 1996.

Govt. of India has honoured him with Padmavibhushan for the year 2011.

On 20th of August 2011 ANR is conferred with honorary doctorate by GITAM University,
Visakhapatnam.
