Review

While this movie was anticipated as not a master piece but to entertain none the less. This movie goes similar to older Telugu Movies based on stories such as these (Sri Ramadasu, Annamayya). The storyline being old might not entertain the younger generation and the other parts of the story with the slomo introduction of the stars with loud bgm will not be tolerated by the older generation.

Overall, the biggest sin of this movie is the poor production design with extremely fake looking weapons, shoddy green screens and the main action-war sequence being covered by an extremely distracting blurry effect and being shot in darkness, completely makes this movie ineffective in bringing out any emotion from the audience.

The only scenes of emotion were the Mahashivaratri scenes with Prabhas and the final scene of Kannappa’s Sacrifice. which is too little in a movie of a runtime well over 3 hours.

Conclusion

This movie follows a very familiar story arc added with the recently popularized bgms, which donot work, and slomo entrances which feel out of place.

Verdict

Do not recommend watching this in the theatre.
