Atharva’ is a unique film: Hero Karthik Raju

We have seen numerous films in the genre of crime suspense thriller. However, ‘Atharva’ is the film that will show the importance of the Clues Department. This movie is presented by Nuthalapati Narasimham and Anasuyamma.

Karthik Raju, Simran Choudhary and Ayraa played the lead roles in this movie directed by Mahesh Reddy and produced by Subhash Nuthalapati under the banner of Peggo Entertainments. Vijaya and Jhansi are the executive producers.

The film will be hitting the theatres on December 1st. Interim, hero Karthik Raju interacted with the media.

How’s your role in ‘Atharva’ going to be?

I asked director Mahesh Reddy to give me ten minutes of narration of the story. During his narration, as it was very interesting we continued and discussed it for 3 hours. I liked it completely and said Yes. That’s how Atharva materialized. The hero suffers from asthma in the movie. Though he wants to become a policeman, he fails to attain his goal for that reason. Finally, he joins the Clues team.

How was the association with the producers?

The producers (Srinivas and Subhash) have produced the movie grandly and spent whatever the budget required. A few sets were also erected for the movie. They worked really hard for the movie.

What is the unique point in the movie?

Usually, all crime suspense thriller films will be in the same format. The unique and interesting point in this story is how they solved a criminal case without any clues.

How was it doing film like ‘Atharva’?

Expressions are very important while acting in a film of this genre. The entire film depends heavily on our performance. I found this role challenging.

How the roles of the hero and heroines are going to be in the film?

Simran Choudhary played the role of a crime journalist and Ayraa will be seen as a film actress. Both roles have a lot of importance. Simran Choudhary’s character and my character will also have a small flashback episode.

How did the Clues team react after watching the movie?

We hold a special premiere show for the Clues team. They felt happy after watching the movie. Generally, they don’t watch crime thrillers. But they accoladed our film Atharva. They complimented saying Clues team officers should be like Karthik Raju.

There was a gap after ‘Kousalya Krishnamurthy’, why?

After Kausalya Krishnamurthy, I got many offers. But this gap was due to Corona. Now I am choosing stories selectively. I am making sure that no small mistake is made. A new movie shoot is starting on December 7th. I completed a film with People’s Media Factory.

What kind of films do you want to attempt?

I want to do a full-length entertainer. It should be in the style of EVV Satyanarayana garu. I want to do films that are worth watching with the family.
