Malini 22 Censor Complete

Yesteryear Actress Sripriya’s Bi-Lingual Directorial Venture “Malini 22” which features Nithya Menen in the title role finished its censor formalities in both Tamil and Telugu. While the Tamil Version “Malini 22 – Palayamkottai” got a Clean ‘U’ Certificate, the Telugu Version got a U/A Certification with no cuts and just a couple of words being muted.
The censor officials in both places have commended the movie and the production house for making a socially relevant movie. This movie is a remake of the Malayalam Hit “22 Female Kottayam” which starred Rima Kalingal in the lead role opposite Fahad Fazil.

Malini 22 is produced by erstwhile actor Rajkumar Sethupathy on Rajkumar Theatres banner and stars Nithya Menen, Krish J Sathar, Naresh, Kovai Sarala, Vidhyulekha Raman, etc. Its to be noted that yesteryear actress Sripriya who acted with the likes of Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, NTR, Chiranjeevi, Krishna, debuts as a director in Telugu though she has already made over 5 movies in Tamil.

The Tamil Version releases on 10th January on the eve of Sankranti and the Producers are planning to release the Telugu Version during the later half of January.
