Overview
Uday encounters Santharam, who asks if he could borrow Uday's lighter. Uday shows his middle finger to his friends and Shantaram when he wins a bet. Shantaram gets offended and bets Uday to perform a task on the terms that he'd cut off Uday's middle finger if he loses. What conspires next forms the crux of the story.
