The Rise Of Allu Arjun

A young guy coming from the reputed Allu family, Allu Arjun, the eldest son of one of the big contemporary producers Allu Aravind and grandson of legendary comedian Sri Allu Ramalingaiah got a chance to make his debut in the prestigious 100th film of legendary director Sri K Raghavendra Rao .

Although the first movie did not bring much fame to Allu Arjun, he came back strong with an interesting role in Arya, in which he showcased a wide range of talent in the areas of comedy, drama and action. This created a trademark for himself for his dance a glimpse of which was seen in the brief cameo he did in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Daddy a few years ago. Arya was Allu Arjun’s collaboration with Sukumar and Devi Sri Prasad which grew into a strong bond. They made a sequel to Arya in the coming years and this bond is going strong till present day’s Pushpa 2, earning the reputation of being a successful combination.

After earning a reputation for himself from Arya, the stylish star scored hits in action dramas like Bunny and Desamuduru. His Tom-and-Jerry type comedy chemistry with Genelia was received well by the Telugu audience.

He then went on to do family-oriented, sentimental movies like Parugu and Varudu, but he couldn’t big hits yet. But the wish of getting hits in this genre came true through Julayi, Son of Satyamurthy and Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, all three directed by Trivikram which were huge box office hits and holds Trivikram and Allu Arjun as one of the all time successful combinations in Tollywood.

A character that is way different from all the other roles that Allu Arjun played in his career came in the form of playing Cable Raju in Vedam which was a stand out movie in his career.
His second film with Puri Jagannath Iddarammayiltho was not as big a success as his first film with him, Desamuduru. Badrinath, Sarrainodu and Naa Peru Surya were some other films of his, which did not get the expected success but he kept winning the hearts of the audience with cameo roles in Rudhramadevi & Yevadu and a special dance appearance in Jagadekaveerudiki song in Shankar Dada Zindabad.

His fan base extended to the Malayalam industry and other movie industries through his wide range of entertaining films and movies like Race Gurram went on to become big success creating a market for the dubbed versions of his movies.
