Annapurna Studios To Produce Small Movies

After experiments like “Damarukam” and “Bhai” failed to create a flutter at the Box Office. “King” Akkineni Nagarjuna set out to produce “Manam” with all the three generations of the Akkineni Clan – Father ANR, Himself and son Naga Chaitanya.

Seeing an oppurtunity to associate with a Achcha Telugu Cinema, Nagarjuna invested into the Small Budget Movie “Uyyala Jampala” produced by Rammohan on Sunshine Cinema Banner and hence became the presenter and co-producer of the movie. He also took time off his tight schedule of Manam and promoted this youthful clean entertainer.

In a recent interview, speaking on the successful run of “Uyyala Jampala” starring Chinnari Pelli Koothuru Fame Avika Gor and Raj Tharun directed by Virinchi Varma , Nagarjuna said ‘Films that are closer to audience tastes only will succeed, from now onwards my group will produce two small films every year”.

Hope all major production houses take a cue out of this and encourage production of small films & give a ray of hope to New Talent.
