Harom Hara is an action movie written and directed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka. It stars Sudheer Babu, Malvika Sharma, Sunil. Its produced by Sumanth G, Naidu. Cinematography was done by Arvind Vishwanathan and music by Chaitan Bharadwaj.
Story :
Thammi Reddy rules unchecked in Kuppam. Subramanyam arrives there to make a living as a lab assistant in a polytechnic college. One day, Subramanyam gets into a fight which results in him losing the job. As he is thinking of earning money, he learns about the gun manufacturing business from Palani Swamy. How he grows in this business and influence is what the story is about.
Review :
The movie starts off with a lot of promise, the setup, the characters and the interesting subject matter of illegal gun manufacturing hype up the audience for a great action and drama story. But the following movie is a story of the normal heroics we come to expect from telugu movies. Guns are completely missing in most fight scenes till the final fight or war. The characters magically resolve to using swords and knives again when facing the hero or they forget to just shoot at him. The conflicts arising from rival gun manufacturers are solved too easily. All the potential of such a story are under utilised.
The plus points seem to be the cinematography and the music. All the technical parts of the movie and the actors have done a phenomenal job and we can clearly see it on screen.
Sudheer babu has done an excellent job with his physique and his accent.
Sunil has delivered another brilliant character performance.
Conclusion :
While there was clear potential of a fresh new action movie with great fights and characters, Harom Hara failed to reach its potential and became a routine telugu action movie by the end.
