Story : Raghav is a popular singer, but stays pretty much ‘bottled’, with sudden outbursts of frustration and fury. He once meets Gayatri (Nazia Hussain) and was impressed with her voice and helps her to build a career as singer with many hurdles in between. They both fall in love with each other and start living together. While Gayatri’s career is on the rise Raghav’s career travels opposite. Raghav becomes addicted to alcohol, Gayatri does her best to lift Raghav in both personal and professional life. What happens to their life ? and how do they stand by each other forms the rest of the story.

Performance :  This is the comeback movie for Sachin Joshi. He played a very emotional role but he disappoints as he fails to emote throughout the film. Nazia Hussain has done a decent job but looks wise she could not impress. Both of them tried to give their best but could not yield desired result. Shashank has done a good job as hero’s friend. Rao Ramesh, Posani and other have done justice to their roles.

Conclusion : This movie is the original remake of Hindi movie ‘Aashiqui 2’. This movie has done wonders at the box office as the chemistry between the lead pair is excellent. But this point is lacking in ‘Nee Jathaga Nenundali’, Which is extremely important for such a script. This movie is almost Xerox copy of the original and director did not made any changes according to nativity. Music and cinematography is the only rescue to the audience while watching the movie. The movie is made with high production values. But it fails to impress the audience due to poor execution of a wonderful subject.

Pros :

  • Cinematography
  • Music
  • Production Values

Cons :

  • Lead Pair
  • Nativity
  • Poorly written dialogues
  • Pointless Lyrics

Rating: 2/5   MR/30
