Prudhviraj (30 years industry) exclusive Interview
Ballireddy Prudhviraj is a well known artist in Telugu film industry. He was born and bought up in West Godavari and has done his MA. He came into fame with his dialogue ’30 Years Industry’, in Krishna Vamsi’s movie ‘Khadgam’.
Q. When did you enter the film industry?
I went to Chennai in 1992 to pursue my dream of acting but has to wait for three years to get a good recognized character. I worked in Savera Hotel as receptionist before settling in the film industry.
Q. Do you have any mentors in the industry?
Yes, Dr Prabhakar Reddy has introduced me to the industry. Rao Gopal Rao has thought me many things about acting and film industry, when I stayed with him for 40 days during the shooting of ‘Aa Okkati Adakku’ movie.
Q. What is your first movie which got recognition?
The character played by me in the movie ‘Aa Okkati Adakku’ under E V V Satyanarayana direction gave me recognition.
Q. Which character is the turning point in your life?
The role played by me in ‘Khadgam’ movie under Krishna Vamsi direction gave me a commercial break and it is the turning point in my life as I became famous with the dialogue ’30 years industry’.
Q. Who is your role model in the industry?
Kaikala Satyanarayanagaru is my role model in the industry.
Q. Do you have any dream role?
I have done different shades of acting in all my movies till date; I has acted as comedian, as villain in ‘Sri Anjaneyam’ and as character artist in many movies. I like to continue like this and entertain people
Q. What is your future goal?
At present I am trying hard to achieve Nandi award.
Q. Tell us about your family?
My wife is very supportive and helped me a lot in my personal and professional life. I have a daughter and a son. My son is working in Kotak Mahindra and my daughter is working in TCS.
Q. Do you want to give any message to the upcoming artists?
I would like to tell them that you should have patience and should work very hard to get recognition in the industry.
