Actor Rajendra Prasad – the great actor of Tollywood.
Gadde Rajendra Prasad popularly known as Rajendra Prasad is a very popular actor of Tollywood. He is born on 19th July in 1956 at Nimmakur in Andhra Pradesh. He is the yesteryear’s comedian hero and also a good character artist of Telugu Cinema. He did a diploma in Ceramic Engineering. The great director ‘Bapu’ introduced this superb artist to Tollywood with his movie “Sneham” in 1977. He got noted in Tollywood with the block buster movie “Ladies Tailor” directed by Vamsy in 1985. Many of his movies were block buster hits. He even acted in the supporting roles in most films and also received awards for those supporting roles. He is called as ‘King of Comedy’ and also as ‘Natakireeti’. He received Nandi Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for his fabulous performance in the movie “Yerra Mandaram” directed by Muthyala Subbaiah in 1991.He acted in more than 200 films in his 36 years of film career. The films which were made in the combination of this great actor and the great director Jandhyala were very humors ans some were great block busters. He gets involved in the role and he does it with ease. He did a spectacular job in the movie “Aa Naluguru” directed by Chandra Siddhartha in 2004. He was honored with ‘Doctorate’ from Andhra University in 2012. He even acted in some Tamil movies. He was honored with the title ‘Haasya kIreeti’ by the Telugu Alliances of Canada. He even got recognition for his acting in the Bollywood flick “Quick Gun Murugun” in 2009.
