On the occasion of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s 28th death anniversary, his family members Nandamuri Mohan Krishna, Nandamuri Mohana Rupa and MLA Maganti Gopinath, Telugu Film Producers Council Secretary T. Prasanna Kumar, FNCC Secretary Mohan Mullapudi and ExCorporator Kaja Suryanarayana paid floral tributes to NTRs idol.
On this occasion, MLA Maganti Gopinath said: The immortal great leader Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao emerged as a king in the film industry and stood as an unrivaled man in the film industry and politics. It is a matter of pride for every Telugu people to honour him after 28 years of his physical absence. He has the respect that no one in India deserves. We are requesting the government that Filmnagar should be named after NTR. The government was formed within 9 months of the formation of the party in 1982. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is a person who started a political party and stood as an example for many people like me. It is very difficult to forget Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao as long as there are Telugu people in the whole of India. NTR is a person who always thinks about people. Similarly, it is pride that the schemes brought by him are still being implemented across the country today. We have decided to celebrate NTRs birth anniversary and death anniversary in a grand manner every year.
Nandamuri Mohana Krishna Garu said: My father, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the immortal honour of the Telugu race, has physically left us but been with us for 28 years, in our thoughts, in our words, and in our works, and he is leading us forward. The three letters NTR are a big sensation, both in movies and in politics, the name NTR has left an indelible mark. There is no role that he does not play in movies. Apart from being the Hero roles, he also played Antagonist characters and impressed the audience with his acting. He played highprofile characters like the role of God, and played deglamorized role of a leper in a movie Raju Pedha. Great changes have been brought about by him in terms of politics as well. The government was formed within 9 months of the party formation. NTR was the pioneer of the current welfare schemes. Today all parties are using NTR name and his welfare schemes. He is always an true inspiration. NTR is God among people as if God is in human form. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Garu is the only one who played the role of Rama, played Ravana, played Krishna, played Duryodhana in the film industry. As a leader, if there is any hero who can play both characters as a hero and villain, it is NTR. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is the only person who celebrated the silver jubilee of three films in Hindi and refused the roles asked for the role of Krishna in Hollywood and roles in Bollywood, said that I am a Telugu person, myself belongs only to Telugu people and my services are dedicated to Telugu people. Today we talk about Pan India, Hollywood, Bollywood in so many ways but NTR is the person of those times who rejected all these and stood for the Telugu nation. In those days, there was no actor who took remuneration of 1 lakh rupees a day like NTR garu. He thought he should do something for the people. He is a pride for every Telugu person that this event is happening on this day as we proudly raise our collar and say that there is a statue of NTR in our Film Nagar Society. Ex Corporator Kaja Suryanarayana said: Nandamuri Mohanakrishna is the reason for the statue of Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao in Filmnagar. If he had not placed this idol here on that day, idol would not be here today. Similarly, this idol was unveiled by Maganti Gopinath. We are not only NTRs disciples but we are also lucky to have the opportunity to work with him. It has been 28 years since he left us today. We feel fortunate that wherever his idols are worshiped and remembered throughout the country today and forever.
Nandamuri Mohana Rupa said: Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is a world famous actor. NTR is a name that will stay forever in the hearts of every Telugu people. He will be remembered everydsy. No matter how many generations change or how many eras change, NTR is the god for every Telugu person and worships him every day. He will always be with in us. She also thanked Kaja Suryanarayana, Maganti Gopinath, Bhaskar Naidu and Prasanna Kumar for attending the event.
